Chinggay Andrada is a popular and talented sportscaster, a radio DJ, commercial model, editor-in-chief, TV host, boxing instructor, and gym owner. She was on the cover of FHM Philippines twice, and had her own billboard on South Superhighway. She became a magazine editor, and was in great demand as an events host. But almost a year and a half ago, Chinggay Andrada suddenly disappeared, uprooting back to the United States, with no warning, leaving friends and fans alike in the dark. The reason? Chinggay finally met the perfect guy. That "great guy" is Apollo Sebastian, a Kapampangan who moved the the US, and was responsible for building muay thai into a wildly popular sport in Las Vegas, where he runs the growing Fasi Sports gym, home of many of the best UFC fighters and mixed martial artists.
It was this mutual love for boxing and martial arts that brough Apollo and Chinggay closer together.

Maria Conchita Andrada is Chinggay to us. As show host for Studio 23’s Sports TV, deejay for RX 93.1, event hope and proprietor of Punch Club, the country’s premier boxing gym for women run by a mostly female crew of instructors and herself, Andrada seems to be everywhere all at once.
Andrada is the youngest of seven children. Being one of the boys is nothing new to her. "Most of my friends are guys," she confesses. At a young age, her parents migrated from Manila to the US. Andrada and her siblings grew up in Ivisan Capiz. She later joined her parents in the US during her college years, where she lived an independent life. She proclaims, "I always believe that nothing replaces hard work." She gave herself a timeline of a year to land a job in Manila. A year passed and right when she was about to return to Seattle, she landed a television show for ABS-CBN's The Filipino Channel called The Global Filipino, co-hosting with long time friend Bobby Yan. |
